Assemble the following components of OMC Universal Pinion Bearing Remover and Installer PIN 391257: OMC Flange Nut PIN 326586OMC Plate PIN 391260and OMC Rod PIN 326582 Insert these components into the gearcase and through the pinion bearing Thread OMC Pinion Bearing Remover PIN 328827 onto the rod Insert the OMC Handle PIN 307638 (from OMC Universal Puller PIN 378103) through the remover 4 Using 3 inwrench, turn the flange nut clockwise while holding the removerDraw the bearing up and out of the gearcasePropeller Shaft Bearing Housing Service

of housing to support bridge and tighten jaws securely behind lower sealInspect bearings in placeIf bearing is removed for any reason, it must be replacedf21 2Remove either bearing using OMC Puller Bridge PIN 432127 and OMC Large Puller Jaws PIN 432129Rest puller plate on top of housing to support bridge and tighten jaws securely behind bearing 3Clean housing and bearings in solvent and dry thoroughlyIf bearings were not replaced, rotate needles with your fingers to check for freedom of movementInspect O-ring groove and sand off any sharp edges that would cut O-ring and prevent its sealing4Thoroughly clean the bearing housing in solventClean sealant from threads of the two bearing housing retainers and screws
