Stator Servicing Removal

To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads
1Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Service Information, Page 3-8
2Disconnect stator yellow and yellowgray leads at terminal board
3Remove stator retaining screws
Installation Remove any varnish around retaining screw holes on both sides of statorThe stator must have metal to metal contact with the crankcase head and its retaining screws
2Install the stator and route the leads3On and amp stators, apply OMC Locquic Primer, then OMC Nut Lock to the retaining screw threads

4On 35 amp stators, use only lock patch screws to retain the statorApply OMC Locquic Primer, then OMC Nut Lock to retaining screw threads
5Tighten all screws to torque of 120-144 inIbs(14-16 Nm)
