Disassemblythru To simplify reassembly and wiring installation, layout the various screws and clamps in the order of their proper location1Remove leaf valve assembly and intake manifoldDiscard the gaskets2Remove the thermostat cap and thermostat components from the cylinder head3Remove the cylinder head and gasketDiscard the gasket4With an indelible ink marker, mark the top piston dome, "No1," and the bottom piston dome, "No.2 5Remove the exhaust cover screwsIf necessary, tap the exhaust cover edge with rawhide mallet68 modelsremove the inner exhaust cover7Remove snap ring from crankcase Using tool as drawn on page 4-8, or equivalent, push the crankcase taper pin toward intake manifold surfaceDo not use any tool smaller than taper pin bore to remove the pin f51 8E.J
