Installation of Cables on Engine To prevent accidental starting of engine, always remove ignition key from start switch and remove cap from emergency ignition cutoff switch if boat is so equippedDisconnect battery cables at battery1Identify the throttle cable from the shift cable at the engine end of cables by shifting control handle into "Forward The shift cable will move first2Lubricate the shift and throttle cable ends with OMC TripeGuard greaseShift Cable9.9, 15 1Place engine shift lever in "Neutral" position 2Check that remote control handle is in "Neutral" position and the fast idle lever in "Run" (latched) position
