Installation 1Inspect the starter mountsIf the mounts are damaged or worn, replace as follows: Remove the mount using crescent wrench Apply OMC Locquic Primer and OMC Screw Lock to threads of new mount Tighten mount securely 1201 Install caps on starter mounts3Install the starter lockout cable into the starter housingf211 4Position the onto the motorInstall the starter hOUSing retaining screwsThe short screw CD is installed on the port side of the starter housingTighten screws to torque of 48-72 inIbs(5,4-8 Nm)"" 5Check operation of the starter lockoutManual starter must not function when shift handle is in FORWARD or REVERSE position
