Steering Handle Servicing20 thru 30 Removal

i twist and remove all spark plug leadsthrottle cable

1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing,

111 Remove the shoulder screw and spacer from end of the 121 3Remove cotter pinconnector and two washers from throttle arm
4Remove bracket and connector from throttle ,cablefil 5Separate the 1-pin Amphenol connectorRemove the stop button lead from the plug using OMC Socket Removal Tool PIN 322699f4l 6.the stop button ground lead from bottom ignition coli mounting screw7Remove protective sleeve from stop button leadsf61 8Remove the steering handle screwPull the throttle cable and stop button leads through the grommet in the lower engine cover9Refer to Page 5-5 for twist grip disassembly instructionsInstallation 1Insert the stop button leads and the throttle cable through the lower engine cover grommet2Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to the two steering handle bushingsPlace the bushings into the steering bracketAttach the steering handle to the steering bracketf61 3the the steering handle can be pivoted and maintain any position4Slide the protective sleeve over the stop button leads'41 5Secure stop button ground lead to bottom ignition coil mounting screwTighten screw to torque of 48-96 inIbs(5,4-10,8 Nm)
