piston rings must be correctly located on their dowel pms to prevent permanent powerhead damageout
INote Loosely install cylinder head to prevent pistons from falling
1571 18Remove the connecting rod caps from the connecting rods
19Place one-half of crankpin bearing on each rod 20Place the crankshaft in positionAlign top and center main bea rings with pins in the cylinder block21 Install the remaining bearing half on each crankpin 22 Oil threads of rod cap screws and install both rod caps finger tight
