Shift Lever Adjustment, 9.9 and 15
ITJ 1Remove the fuel hose from the carburetorf1l 2Remove the cotter pin and the washer from the shift lever 3While turning propeller shaft, move the shift handle to the FORWARD position until the lugs on the gear and clutch dog are engaged f21 Hold propeller shaft and maintain slight pressure between lugsSlowly ease the shift handle to the NEUTRAL positionNote the point where the detent spring contacts the shift lever 5Repeat this procedure using REVERSE gearf21 6Adjust the shift lever link so the contact point for FORWARD and the contact point for REVERSE are equal distances from the center detent notch of the shift lever7Install the washer and the cotter pin8Connect fuel hose to carburetor using new tie strap&
