1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leadsOn electric start models, disconnect the battery cables at the battery2On electric start models: Disconnect the battery cables from the battery Remove the positive (+) and negative (-) battery leads from the engine
3Remove the shift lock lever screw from the powerheadLay the shift lock lever down inside the lower engine coverRemove the fuel inlet hose

5Remove the stop switch and ignition module ground leads from the ignition coil mounting screw6Separate the stop switch 1-pin Amphenol connector
