3Remove the shoulder screw assembly to the housing retaining the starter lockout
4Remove the nut
the starter pawl retaining screw
5Remove the starter pawl retain ing screw
washerstarter pawl plate with plate return spring from the starter assembly with spring washer
6Remove the starter housing spring and the starter pawl
CD from the starter assembly
7Using screwdriver, pry open the pulley lockring Q) and
remove ring from the starter
8Remove the friction plate
