1501 Align hole in the clutch dog with slot in the propeller shaftInstall the clutch dog on the shaft with grooved end of the clutch dog facing toward forward end of the shaft
10Insert the shifter shaft into the propeller shaft, aligning holes in the shifter shaft, propeller shaft and clutch dogWhen holes are aligned, insert the clutch dog pin into the clutch dog and shifter shaftSecure pin with new retainer springInspect the spring for overlapping or loose coils11Push the shifter detent down into the REVERSE position COA3592
