1Start by removing all the p.arts the housing, inspect the housing for cracks or melting, and Install new top plate The top plate locks in place in the housing with square index tab2The liner now slides in and mates with the plate at the point where the liner is split Lightly coat the liner with oilWith counterclockwise rotation install the impeller into the liner with slot for impeller cam facing out
4Run thin bead of OMC Adhesive MTM in the seal groove and install the special-shaped O-ring seal5 Install the water tube grommet with the inside cham -
L:J fered edge facing up Seat the grommet in the impeller
housing Secure the water tube bracket to the impeller housing Apply thin bead of OMC Adhesive to groove of the impeller housing grommetPlace the grommet in position on the impeller housingInstallation 1Apply OMC Adhesive to the impeller plate area of the gearcase Apply OMC Needle Bearing Assembly Grease to flat area of the driveshaftInstall the drive camThe sharp edge of the cam is leading edge during driveshaft rotation Slide the water pump assembly down the driveshaftAlign impeller housing with the gearcase Rotate the driveshaft to engage the impeller cam with the impeller and slide water pump assembly down over impellerBe sure impeller cam does not fall out of position
