1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads
2 Remove the pivot connectorthrottle cable bracket and jam nut from the throttle cable1685
3 Remove the stop button ground lead from the powerhead4 Using OMC Pin Removal Tool PI 322698, remove the stop button lead from cavity" E" of the plug 5Remove the steering handle screw and nutlift the handle from the steering bracketPull the throttle cable and stop button leads through the grommet in the lower engine cover Disassembly 1Using OMC Twist Grip Remover PI 390767, depress the grip detentsTighten screw Q) and remove the grip by pulling grip and turning the idle adjustment knob Q) clockwise Remove the helix halves
