Cleaning and Inspection 1Clean all parts with parts cleaning solvent and dry with compressed airAll nut and screw threads coated with OMC Screw Lock or OMC Nut Lock must be thoroughly cleaned before assemblyWhen using thread locking product, be sure to prime the adhesion surfaces with OMC Locquic Primer2Discard all oil seals, a-rings, and gaskets3 Examine the rubber motor mounts and replace if deteriorated or damaged4Inspect components for nicks on machined surfacesRemove nicks and resurface on surface plateStart with No120 emery cloth and finish with No180 emery cloth r:;l 5Check parallelism of the exhaust housingPlace the housing on surface plateUsing dial indicator, check flatness by measuring the run-out on the top edge of the housingThe maximum allowable run-out is 0.009 in (0,23 mm)DO NOT attempt to straightenIf the housing is distorted, replace itIf the required equipment is not available, consult local machine shop
