1751 74 33Check condition of valve seat and cup inside of the cylinder headReplace if necessary To assemble the thermostat assembly, start by inserting the pin into the vernatherm with convex end of pin facing out Position the vernatherm and spring into the thermostat halves as shownAssemble the thermostat halves Install the thermostat into the cylinder head with threaded end of thermostat facing away from the cylinder head Lightly coat both sides of new thermostat cover gasket with OMC Gasket Sealing CompoundPosition the relief valve springInstall the thermostat cover and tighten the screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)79 34Install intake manifold assembly with its gasket dry, use no sealerFor intake manifold servicing information, refer to Section 235Install the complete ignition, electrical, and fuel systemsTo prevent possible fire or explosion, make sure all electrical and ignition wiring is routed and clamped in its original position
