Throttle Plate Synchronization fJl 1Loosen the cam follower screw and push the cam follower away from throttle camThe follower MUST NOT touch the throttle cam during this procedure2Loosen upper and lower carburetor linkage screws 3Verify that all throttle plates are closedf5l 4Apply light upward pressure to the tabs of the adjusting links and tighten first the lower then the upper carburetor linkage screwsIdle Speed
Before setting engine idle speed, be sure throttle cam follower is not touching throttle cam
1The boat and engine must be in the water under normal operating conditions with the correct propeller installedThe boat's movement must be unrestrainedThe boat must not be tied to dock or trailer2Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature3Check idle RPM in FORWARD gear with an accurate tachometer
