Use only OMC Power TrimlTilt and Power Steering Fluid or ote GM Dexron I automatic transmission fluid to fill the hydraulic system1Oil and install new -ring and scraper in the end capInstall the scraper with lip facing up2Oil and install new a-ring on the outside of the end cap] 3Clean all locking compound from threads of the rodSlide the end cap onto the rod4Oil and install new quad ring and backup rings on the valve housingStagger backup ring end gaps 1800 5Place the valve housing washer and valve housing on the rodInstall new valve housing -ring
