Routine Inspections 1Check reservoir fluid level at least once per season or every 100 operating hoursSystem capacity is approximately 11.7 floz(345 ml) Raise the motor and engage the trail lock levers Using suitable hoist, support the engine's weight Add OMC Power TrimlTilt and Power Steering Fluid or GM Dexron I as needed to bring level to the bottom of fill plug threads Install fill plug and torque to 45-55 inIbs(5-6 Nm)&

3Check for external signs of fluid leakageCorrect causes as necessaryA minimum of five complete cycles is required to purge air from the hydraulic system4Inspect the stern brackets for binding with swivel bracket in thrust rod areaRetorque tilt tube nut Tighten the nut to torque of 40-45 ftIbs(54-60 Nm) Loosen one nut by 1a to 1f4 turn after torque5The battery must be charged to specific gravity of 1.260 to 1.280 corrected to temperature of 80 (2JD C)Refer to Battery Specifications, Electrical Section
