Starter Circuit CheckRemote Control Models
Step Procedure Remove black lead from ground Result aIf meter does not read any voltage, proceed to STEPI bIf meter reads 12 volts (battery voltage) reconnect black lead to ground and proceed to STE G
Check voltage between ground and point
Steps thruRemove starter to solenoid cable from check point (j) to prevent starter engagement while making checks
CD Connect voltmeter between point CD
at check point and common engine groundTurn key switch to start positionVoltmeter should show 12 volts (battery voltage)
