Driveshaft Bearing Housing Service The driveshaft bearing is not serviceableReplace the bearing housing if the bearing is worn or damagedAlso, inspect the driveshaft bearing surface if bearing is damaged
1371 1Using punch and mallet, drive the two seals out of the
housingDiscard the seals2Remove and discard the O-ring from the housing
3Clean the housing in solvent to remove sealer from the seal
bore and O-ring groove
installingInstall the inner seal with the lip facing toward the housing and the outer seal with extended lip facing away from the housingApply OMC Triple-Guard grease to the lips after installing
