12Thoroughly clean splines of the pivot shaft and the lower mount bracketSpray the splines with OMC Locquic PrimerApply OMC Nut Lock evenly to all pivot shaft spline teethPlace the lower thrust washer in the lower mount bracketSlide the lower mount bracket on the splines of the pivot shaft while aligning front of the mount bracket with the steering arm Install the retaining ring on the pivot shaft with sharp edge of ring facing out13Lubricate the swivel bracket through the four lubrication fittings with OMC Triple-Guard grease
