42 119Remove the trim-up relief valve core and spring1431 20Remove the trim-up relief valve seat from the manifold using Snap-on pliers SPR3 or equivalent1441 21Clean and inspect all the components of the trim-up relief valve1451 22Remove the three large electric motor retaining screws and washersRemove the electric motor from the manifold1461 23There are four types of permanent magnet electric motors on the power trimtilt unitAll motors have an O-ring on the base which needs to be inspected upon disassemblyAny of these motors may be used for replacement, but internal components may not be interchangedSet the motor aside until disassembly is required1471 24Remove the oil pump filter by simultaneously pressing the filter sideways while prying the tab out of the pocket in the manifoldClean the oil pump filter carefully1481 25There are three screws that retain the oil pump to the manifoldTwo of them are recessed Allen head cap screwsand one is hex head screw Remove the three screws and oil pump assembly Ifthe oil pump needs flushing, do not clean it in solvent but only in new, clean hydraulic fluidRotate the pump coupling to expel any foreign matter
