Lubricate friction points on mechanical parts withOMC Triple-Guard grease
1To reassemble control handle, place control handle knob on control handle and secure with screwTighten screw to torque of 20-30 inIbs(2,3-3,4 Nm) Position trimtilt switch into control handle coverSecure switch to control handle cover with screw Secure control handle cover to control handle with four screws Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to slide return springPlace slide return spring onto control handle as shown in figure Compress the slide return spring with neutral lock slide and snap neutral lock slide onto control handleAfter installed, spring tension must be felt when pulling up on neutral lock slide Install plate with two screws to control handleTighten screws to torque of 25-35 inIbs(2,8-3,9 Nm)2Install the key switch, warning horn, and emergency ignition cutoff switch to the remote control, if removedApply OMC Black Neoprene Dip to the key switch terminals20 3Clean threads of the shift lockout screw with OMC LocquicTM primer
