Starter Circuit Check Chart Step Procedure Remove black lead from ground Result aIf meter does not read any voltage, proceed to STEP
Check voltage between ground and point G) STEPS thru Remove starter to solenoid cable from check point (j) to prevent starter engagement while making checks
CD Connect voltmeter between point CD
at check point and common engine groundTurn key switch to start positionVoltmeter should show 12 volts (battery voltage)
bIf meter reads 12 volts (battery voltage) reconnect black lead to ground and proceed to STEP
!II Check
voltage between ground and point In STEPS thru turn key to "off" position before disconnecting and connect_ ing meterTurn key to "start" position after making connection where required
Connect meter at
switch to "start" position
aIf meter reads 12 volts (battery voltage), lead is open between
&11 bIf no reading, proceed to STEP
Check voltage between ground and point
