30Apply OMC Locquic Primer, then OMC Nut Lock to threads ofthe two housing retainer screwsPlace the retainers behind holes in the housingInstall the screws with flat washersTighten the screws to torque of 216-240 inIbs(24-27 Nm)When properly installed, large end of the retainers should press against lip ofthe gearcase housingSmall end ofthe retainers should be between bosses of the bearing housing r::;:;l

r:-=J Some retainers may have rounded edges on one sideThese retainers should be positioned with the rounded edges facing forward
