Assembly Before beginning assembly procedures, all gearcase components must be thoroughly cleaned and in serviceable conditionRefer to Cleaning and Inspection, Page 6-8After the gearcase has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected, install new pinion bearing in the gearcase as follows: 111 1Assemble as shown the following components of OMC Pinion Bearing Remover and Installer PIN 391257:
Q) -20 1 inHex Head Screw in0 .0Flat Washer CD PI 326584 Spacer PI 391260 Plate and Bearing PIN 326582 Rod
111 2Secure OMC Pinion Bearing Installer PIN 328828 to the rod using -20 1- inhex head screw from OMC Pinion Bearing Remover and Installer PIN 391257
3Apply OMC Needle Bearing Assembly Grease to the 19 needle bearings and insert them in the bearing case Place the bearing on the installer tool with the lettered side of the bearing facing the top of the gearcaseUse OMC Needle Bearing Assembly Grease to hold the bearing on the tool
