1461 1If the flywheel ratchet has been removed, install and torque to 10-12 ftIbs(14-16 Nm)
2Position the starter assembly on the engine
Place the correct sequence of washers and bushings between the starter handle bracket and air silencer baseInstall the retaining screws finger tightInstall the starter housing 10-12 ftIbs(14-16 Nm)screws and torque to

the bracket retaining screws to 60-84 inIbs
Position the lockout slide in the starter housing groove
