Electric Fuel Primer Pump Servicing ill to fire or explosionWhen testing or servicing the primer
pump, be sure no fuel is allowed to spillFunctional Test 1Carefully remove the hose from the outlet side (top) of the pumpCap off fuel hose

Any accumulation of fuel inside the boat could contribute

2Install 0-15 PSI (0-103 kPa) fuel pressure gauge and secure with hose clamps
3Turn the key switch ON and momentarily activate the pump with the toggle switch Gauge should indicate minimum of 4.5 PSI (31 kPa) while battery voltage is 12
4An additional test for dry priming can be performedThe pump should be capable of lifting fuel from an unrestricted source through 3a in(9,5 mm) I.Dhose to height of at least 30 in(76,2 cm)Inspection

1To inspect or service the pump filter, remove all hoses and pipe fittings from the pump and remove the pump assembly from its mounting bracket2Remove the pump bracket and gently pry up and remove both metal end caps
