AC lighting Coil Resistance Check
INote This test is made with
an ohmmeter and jumper wires to insert into the AC lighting connector
[';1 1Calibrate an ohmmeter on the Rx1 scale and connect between yellowgrey and yellow leads Meter must show O.86O.05 ohmf21 2Connect meter between yellowgrey and yellowblue leads Meter must show 1.21 O.02 ohmsf31 3Calibrate the ohmmeter on the Rx100 scale and connect one lead to clean engine ground Probe each of the connector pins with the other ohmmeter jumper wire The ohmmeter should show very high reading (00) If the ohmmeter reading is low, repair the grounded coillead or replace the coil assemblyRefer to Section for armature plate servicing
