twist and remove spark plug leads3Remove screw retaining throttle cable trunnion 4Disconnect the throttle cable from armature plate by pulling the cable downward5housingthe two screws and one nut retaining the starter
6Remove the throttle cable as followsRemove the two retaining screws from the top of the starter housing Twist the throttle cable assembly in counterclockwise direction to unthread the cable from the throttle knob
