22Rotate the propeller shaft to ensure the reverse gear is fully engaged with the pinion 23Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the threads of the retaining screws and around a-ring flange of the gearcase head Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to new gearcase head a-ring Install the a-ringApply OMC Triple-Guard grease to the seal lips Install the gearcase head and tighten the screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm) 1391 24Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to the driveshaft seal lipsInstall the drives haft and rotate to engage pinion splines
