install it in the
14014Apply GMC Needle Bearing Assembly Grease to the impeller drive pin and place the pin on the flat of the driveshaft15Slide the water pump housing down over the driveshaft and engage the water pump impeller drive pin and then rotate the housing until the screw holes line upOnly rotate the water pump housing in counterclockwise direction to prevent the impeller blades from being turned backwardsOnce the screw holes line up, seat the water pump in position Coat the three screws with GMC Gasket Sealing Compound, install them and tighten the screws to torque of 25-35 inIbs(2,8 -4,0 Nm)

of the spring fCices the gearAssemble by turning the gear counterclockwise while pushing together 44 17Install the propeller shaft into the gearcase144 18Wrap single layer of cellophane tape around the propeller shaft over the groove in the shaftThis will prevent the seals in the gearcase head from becoming damaged in the groove145 19Coat the O-ring and two gearcase head attaching screws with OMC Gasket Sealing CompoundSlide the gearcase head over the propeller shaft and then fully seat it in its correct positionInstall the two gearcase head attaching screws and tighten the screws to torque of 60-84 in Ibs(7-9 Nm)1461 20Pressure and vacuum test the gearcase as follows :
