i twist and remove spark plug leads2Remove fuel tank
1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing,
3Disconnect ignition and electrical connectorsRemove spark plugs, ignition coils, and flywheelRemove armature plate assemblyRemove power pack screws and disconnect throttle linkage4 Remove low speed knob and choke knob5If starter does not require service, leave it attached to the crankcase Tie knot in the starter rope inside lower engine cover and remove handleIf removal for service is necessary, see Section 7
