[I3J 9 Remove the shift yoke with long-nose pliers
1131 10 Remove the shifter lever pivot pin Discard the pivot pin
1141 11Remove the propeller shaft and reverse gear components
from the gearcase

12Using magnetic tool, locate and remove the two shifter detent balls and one detent spring from the gearcase9592

13Use long-nose pliers to remove the clutch dog and shifter lever assemblyUse no forceTilting the shifter lever slightly will allow you to remove it from the gearcase
