2Assemble the shift lever as follows: Place the spring in the hole of the shift leverSlide the washer on the shaft of the shift leverLubricate and place new O-ring on the shift lever shaft Install the shift rod through the bellcrank Secure the shift rod with bow washerflat washer CD and cotter pin Lubricate the shift rod and slide it through the exhaust housing, engaging the bellcrankInstall and tighten the retaining screw f51
3 Install the upper and lower side mounts to the exhaust housing Install and tighten the screws to torque of 60-84 in Ibs(7-9 Nm)Place gaskets on the lower side mounts
4 Place the front of the exhaust housing over the upper front mountPush the lower part of the exhaust housing toward the swivel bracketAlign the two upper side mounts in the steering bracket
