Exhaust Housing Servicing9.9, 15 Removal and Disassembly 1Remove the powerhead as described in Section 42 Remove the gearcase as described in Section 6
3Remove the screw and the clip retaining the shift lever to the bellcrank 4Remove the two screws with lockwashers retaining the shift leverPull the shift lever out of the lower engine cover
5Remove the cotter pin Disengage the upper shift rod from the bellcrank and remove the rod On electric start models, remove the cable and clamp from the inside of port stern bracket6 Lift the lower engine cover off the exhaust housing
r-lI Remove the two lower mount bracket screws Remove
the port and starboard lower mount brackets with two lateral mounts COA2632
r:;l Remove the two upper mount to steering bracket screws and mount link Separate the exhaust housing from the swivel bracket assembly
