OMC Long Life CablesInstallation OMC Cable Adapter Kit, PI must be used to install OMC Long Life cables into the remote control1Remove three cover screws from remote control and pull two halves apart

2Place housing half and cover half on flat surfaceApply OMC Triple-Guard grease to all points shown in figuresBe sure to grease the three cover screw threaded holes3Lubricate outside of brass sleeves at control end of both remote control cables with OMC Triple-Guard grease4Place trunnion caps over cable trunnion and slide casing guides over cable sleeves
40 5Using inhex wrench, start the set screws into each end of both control end wire clamps
6Begin cable installations with housing half of controlMake certain fast idle lever is completely downMove throttle lever arm from behind separator plate to expose hole in lever armIt is not necessary to remove separator plate to install control cablePlace casing guide between halves of throttle lever arm and position guide as shownGrease outside diameter of wire clamp and insert clamp through throttle lever arm and cable casing guideIf the separator plate is removed, apply OMC Screw Lock to threads of the two screwsTighten the screws to torque of 10-15 inIbs(1,1-1,7 Nm)Do not operate the remote control without the separator plate installed and the two retaining screws properly torqued
