Starter Circuit CheckRemote Co ntrol Models
Step Procedure Remove black lead from ground Result aIf meter does not read any voltage, proceed to STEP 2bI meter reads 12 volts (battery voltage) reconnect black lead to ground and proceed to STEP 6
Check voltage between ground and point
Steps thruRemove starter to solenoid cable from check point (j) to prevent starter engagement while making checks
CD Connect voltmeter between point CD
at check point and common engine groundTurn key switch to start positionVoltmeter should show 12 volts (battery voltage)
Check voltage between ground and point
Connect meter at
0 Turn key
switch to "start" position
aIf meter reads 12 volts (battery voltage), lead is open between
3&In STEPS thru turn key "off" position before disconnecting and connecting meterTurn key to "start" position after making connection where requiredCheck voltage between ground and point (2) Connect meter at (2) Turn key switch to "start" position
