Disassembly 1Remove the propeller and mounting hardwareInspect the propeller for spun hub Isl 2
EJ then the filiidrain plug Inspect the lubricant for presence
Drain the gearcase by first removing the oil level plug ,
of water, metal chips, or burned odorWater in the lubricant will give it milky appearanceOverheating will give the lubricant black color and burned odor
EJ with O-rings using 016 inthin-wall socketusing the following special tools:
Remove the three propeller shaft bearing housing screyvs
714Pull the propeller shaft bearing housing from the gearcase
OMC Puller Leg PIN 320737 (requires three legs) Puller Body from OMC Universal Puller PIN 378103
