ATo test power pack output, connect the meter black lead to clean engine groundStart the engine and run at RPM where problem existsBAlternately, hold the meter red lead against metal part of the extendersDo not hold metal part of red meter lead when the engine is operatingMeter should indicate continuous reading of 250 volts or higher ill

CIf the meter reads less than 250 volts, remove the No.1 ignition coil primary lead from the terminal extenderConnect the meter red lead to spring clip in boot of the primary leadRemove the No.2 and No.3 high tension leads from their spark plugs and connect them to spark testerConnect the spark tester to clean engine groundCrank the engine and observe the meter reading If the meter reads 230 volts or higher, test the ignition coil as described on page 3-10 If the meter reads less than 230 volts, replace the power packDTest the power pack output to the No2 and No3 ignition coils as described above
