connectorSet the voltmeter switches to "S" and "5 If using Merc-O -Tronic Model 781 voltmeter, set the switches to "POS" and "5
AInsert the meter red lead or jumper wire into cavity "A Attach
the meter black lead to clean engine groundCrank the engine and observe the meterBMove the red lead or jumper wire to cavity "B Crank the engine and observe the meterCMove the red lead or jumper wire to cavity "C" Crank the engine and observe the meterDRemove the red lead or jumper wire to cavity "D Crank the engine and observe the meter Any reading on any test means the sensor coils or leads are grounded Locate ground and repair, or replace the timer base assembly
