Stator Servicing Removal
ill twist and remove all spark plug leads
To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing,
1Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Service Information, page 3-82Disconnect stator yellow and yellowgray leads at terminal board
11913Remove stator retaining screws Installation
12011Remove of statorThe statorretaining screw holes metal any varnish around on must have metal to both sides
contact with the crankcase head and its retaining screws2Install the stator and route the leads3Apply OMC Locquic Primer, then OMC Nut Lock to the retaining screw threads4 Tighten all screws to torque 120-144 inIbs(14-16 N.m)5Attach stator yellow and yellowgray leads to terminal boardCoat final connections with OMC Black Neoprene Dip6Refer to Flywheel Service Information for correct flywheel installation procedure7Route and connect charge coil leads
