Break-In Considerations To protect the engine condition during the first ten hours of operation and to ensure long engine service life, follow the Engine Break-In Procedure outlined in Section 1In addition, follow these steps to ensure the VRol system is operating normally: 1Before putting the engine into service, be sure all oil line connections are airti,ghtAn air leak could reduce the amount of oil supplied to the VROtt pump2During break-in period, the engine's fuel tank must have 100: fueloil mixture in addition to VRol operation3Test the "low oil" and "no oil" warning circuitsRefer to Installation Recommendations, this Section 4The oil level should be marked on side of the reservoir before putting the engine into service After the break-in period, the operator must verify that oil has been used before switching to clear fuel in the engine's fuel tank 56C
