Throttle Cam Follower Adjustment 1The throttle arm must remain at its idle position during this procedure2The carburetor throttle valves must remain closed during this procedurerJl3-Connect throttle shaft amplifier to the top carburetor throttle plate, as shown4Loosen the throttle cam locknut1sl5Move the cam follower in and adjust the cam thumb wheel so the throttle cam and follower touch at the embossed mark6Checkpoints: The locknut must be retightened The throttle arm must be against the idle stop screw All carburetor throttle valves must be closed There must be 0.005 in(0,127 mm) clearance between the throttle cam and follower to ensure consistent idle qualityrJl7To test this adjustment, slowly advance the throttle arm and then bring it back to idle position The throttle shaft amplifier must begin to move when the throttle arm moves The throttle cam and follower adjustment must be as described in steps and 6INotel change in idle speed screw setting will require repeatIng steps thru 7 Wide Open Throttle Stop Adjustment 1With the engine not running, manually advance the throttle lever to the wide open position
