Troubleshooting the Electrical System Instruments requiredVoltmeter and Ohmmeter Up Circuit When the tilt switch is moved to the up position, current flows from the positive terminal of the battery to the tilt switchNext, current flows through the switch to the bluewhite wire and to the pump motorDown Circuit When the tilt switch is moved to the down position, current flows from the positive terminal of the battery to the switchNext, current flows through the switch to the greenwhite wire and to the pump motor

Testing Switch Disconnect the batteryUsing an ohmmeter set to the low ohm scale, calibrate the meterConnect the black meterlead to the center terminal of the tilt switch Alternately connect the red meter lead to the outer terminals and of the tilt switch The meter should show high resistance (infinity 00) with the switch in one position and low resistance (0 to 0.1 n) in the other position
