Stern Bracket Servicing
Disassembly
r:jl f21 1Remove the bumpers from the upper mount retaining t=J screwsRemove the screws, upper mountand ground lead from the bracket
2 Using OMC Retaining Ring Pliers No4, PI 307429, remove the retaining ring from the pivot shaft
EJ and secured with locking adhesiveHeat the pivot shaft
3The pivot shaft is splined to the lower mount bracket
splined end with torchAllow the heated area to cool, then remove the lower mount bracket and the lower thrust washer from the pivot shaft
4Slide the pivot shaft and the upper thrust washer
EJ and off the swivel bracket
