Steering Handle Servicing Removal

i twist and remove all spark plug leads

1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing,

f.jl 2Remove the pivot connectorthrottle cable bracketand jam nut from the throttle cable3Remove the stop button ground lead from the powerhead4 Using OMC Pin Removal Tool PI 322698, remove the stop button lead from cavity "E" of the plug5Shift the motor to FORWARD gear position Remove the nut and flat washer from the shift rod Disconnect the sh ift rod from the shift lever6Remove the steering handle screw and nutLift the handle from the steering bracketPull the throttle cable and stop button leads through the grommet in the lower engine cover
