Install the retainer plate on the crankcase Position the support plate over the retainer plate and align the holes between the plate and crankcase Apply GMC Nut Lock to threads of screwsInstall screws and torque to 48-60 in Ibs(57 Nm)
38Apply GMC Moly Lube to the crankcase boss
39 Lubricate the armature plate bearing groove light coating of outboard lubricant
40Using needle-nose pliers in the slots provided, compress the armature plate bearing while guiding the armature plate into position 41 Position armature plate on retainer plate and torque screws to 25-35 inIbs(2,8-4,0 Nm)42Install the terminal board and rectifier

Assemble the correct sequence of washers and locate the ignition coils and power pack on the powerheadInstall and tighten the retaining screws to the following torque values: Ignition coil screws: 48-96 inIbs(5,4-10,8 Nm) Power pack screws: 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
