Step 1 Charge Coil Running Tests Using C.DVoltmeter and Adapter

Charge Coil Output TestSeparate the five-wire connector and plug both ends into the adapterSet the voltmeter switches to "-" and "500 Turn all the adapter switches to ON
INote Rou.te all tester leads so they do not interfere with moving

Place the meter red lead in jack "A" and the meter black lead in jack "D Start the engine and run at RPM where problem existsObserve the meterStop the engine

If the meter indicates continuous reading of 250 volts or higher, the charge coil is OKProceed to Step 2Sensor Coil Running Tests Using C.DVoltmeter and Adapter No or low meter reading, refer to Charge Coil Ground TestCharge Coil Ground TestTurn all adapter switches OFFSet the voltmeter switches to "-" and "500
