Gearcase lubricationAll Models i and remove all spark plug leads
To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist
Remove oil drainfill plug and oil level plug from gearcaseWith motor in normal operating position, allow oil to drain completelyTo refill, place tube or pressure can nozzle of OMC Hi-Vis gearcase lubricant in drain fill hole If OMC Hi-Vis gearcase lubricant is not available, OMC Premium Blend gearcase lube can be used as an alternateWith motor in normal operating position, fill until lubricant appears at oil level holeInstall oil level plug before removing lubricant tube or pressure can nozzle from oil drain fill holeDrain fill plug can then be installed securely without oil lossIf the proper tube or filler type can is not available, install drainfill plugSlowly fill gearcase through oil level hole allowing trapped air to escapeInstall plug and tighten to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
